Electronic Statements (ESI)

"Switch and Save" - it's FREE!

Replace your printed paper statements with e-Statements. They are more secure, more convenient, more timely and more responsible. You can view, print or save your e-Statements online and we'll archive them for you. (But you don't really want to waste more paper by printing do you?) You can self-enroll through NetTeller online banking or see our Personal Bankers if you aren't already signed up for NetTeller.

Multi-Factor Authentication...

New security features are now available for North Valley Bank's online banking NetTeller users.  This multi-layered approach to security is one of several methods to authenticate legitimate users.

Attention ATM Users...

The ATM Network that North Valley Bank belongs to has notified us that they no longer provide "Service Charge Free" ATM cash withdrawals.  ATM withdrawals are still "free" of service charges at any of our North Valley Bank locations.

Attention all Netteller customers

Effective August 16, 2010 Microsoft no longer supports (IE6) Internet Explorer 6.0x for security reasons. Therefore you may need to download *“FREE software” to update the browser version on any computers you use to access Netteller for your Online Banking. Here are the Microsoft & Netteller supported browsers:

Internet Explorer (IE) Versions 7.0 - 8.0**
Mozilla Firefox Version 3 +
Safari Version 1.0 +

*Open your current version of IE (Internet Explorer), and then choose “Tools” from the Menu bar across the top. Select “Windows Update” from the dropdown menu, and follow the prompts to download IE 8.

**IE 8.0 includes a compatibility view feature that displays websites that were created for older browsers as they were designed to appear. IE 8.0 will be a supported browser when this feature is enabled.

Fraud Protection

North Valley Bank will not ask you to send personal information to us via unprotected email. An informed consumer is a safe consumer. If you suspect a suspicious email from us, DO NOT RESPOND to it, please call us to verify the information and report it to us.

If you suspect that you may be the victim of identity theft, we suggest that you contact the fraud departments of each of the three major credit bureaus and request that they place a "Fraud Alert" and a "Victim's Statement" in your credit file. The Alert places creditors on notice that you have been a victim of fraud. The Statement asks creditors not to open additional credit accounts without first contacting you for verification.

Here are the phone numbers of the three major credit bureaus:

    • Equifax (800) 525-6285
    • Experian (888) 397-3742
    • Trans Union (800) 680-7289

You may wish to contact any financial institutions and creditors where you have accounts and request that they restrict access to your account, change passwords or close the account altogether if there is evidence that the account has been compromised. If so, a Police report may be required to report the crime.

And last but not least, you may wish to contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Identity Theft Hotline at 877-ID-THEFT (438-4338). The FTC puts the information into a secure consumer fraud database and shares it with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Check the information on the following website for step-by-step assistance in handling identity theft:  consumer.gov/idtheft.
